Nature’s Ink Joins the Prestigious Malamegi Lab Art Prize

I'm excited to share that my artwork, Nature's Ink, has been accepted into the prestigious Malamegi Lab Art Prize, an international competition that celebrates contemporary art across various disciplines, including painting, sculpture, photography, and digital art.

Nature's Ink is a deeply personal piece inspired by my journey with vitiligo, aiming to intertwine vibrant beauty with elements of nature and wildlife. This work reflects my passion for encouraging others to explore their creative sides, especially within communities where pursuing art may be challenging.

The Malamegi Lab Art Prize will select 12 finalists to participate in a collective exhibition, with opportunities to win several awards:

  • Artwork Acquisition Award: Malamegi Lab will acquire one of the 12 final artworks, adding it to their private collection, with a maximum purchase value of €2,000.

  • Cash Prize: A €1,000 cash prize awarded to an artist based on the quality and originality of the work on display.

  • Monographic Catalogue: One finalist will have a monographic book dedicated to their work, curated, edited, printed, and distributed by Malamegi Lab.

The deadline for applications is March 12, 2025, and the selected artists will be notified by March 31, 2025. The final exhibition is scheduled to take place in Milan, offering a significant platform for artists to showcase their work to a broader audience.

I am honoured that Nature's Ink has been accepted into this esteemed competition and eagerly await the selection of the final 12 artists. This opportunity represents a significant milestone in my artistic journey, and I am grateful for the chance to share my work on such a prestigious platform.
