about the artist

Artist Statement
As a self-taught contemporary artist, my work is a fusion of bold colours, nature, and human expression. My journey into art stems from a deep desire to break away from rigid societal norms and explore the world through creativity. While my professional background is in mathematics and actuarial science, painting has always been my sanctuary—a place where I can transform emotions, experiences, and identity into visual storytelling.
My latest collection, including Nature’s Ink, is inspired by my diagnosis of vitiligo, which led me to embrace the idea that skin—like nature—is a canvas for unique beauty. This philosophy drives my work: celebrating individuality, imperfections, and the raw vibrancy of life. I incorporate oil paints, acrylics, pastels, and mixed media to create striking compositions that evoke emotion and self-discovery.
I aim to encourage others to explore their creative side, defy expectations, and find inspiration in their own journey.
Background & Personal Story
I am a British Indian female artist navigating the challenges of breaking into the art world while balancing a full-time career and caregiving for family. Art is my escape, my expression, and my rebellion against societal expectations.
My goal is to inspire others to embrace their creativity unapologetically, proving that passion and persistence can carve their own path.
